Lead me to the cross

Wow, 10 weeks went by in a blink of an eye and now my bags are somewhat packed and I’m ready for departure tomorrow morning at 8am.
I can’t seem to sum up my stay in Washington D.C. in words, because it was life changing – In my spiritual walk, the way I approach my work and study, and the depth of my relationships…I feel like I’ve been tested and tried so many times, but in the end I was able to follow the light and make it to conclude this journey.
I will never forget the secrete passages underneath the historical Capitol building, the confusing metro rides (yes, I got lost plenty of times), the random showers of rain (or sideways blizzards), late night walks with my new found friends, my passionate UCLA professor, the exotic foods, but most importantly God’s faithfulness.
I wanted to take some time to reflect on everything that has happened and a passage that helped me through my journey was from Exodus 4:11-12 “The Lord said to him, “who gave man his mouth? who makes him deaf or mute? who gives him sight or makes him blind? is it not I, the LORD? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

Honestly I came to D.C. feeling afraid and unsure like Moses did, and these uncertainties left me with doubt. Lots of it. But God is God and He is not afraid to use you, no matter how slow you are to speak or hear and see. I realized this for the hundredth time and hope that I will be able to walk away with a new light when I reach California.

Here I come!
